Abstract

Abundant natural resources such as agriculture and fisheries are the leading sectors owned by Aceh and make Aceh a producer of various agricultural and fishery commodities, but many actors involved such as farmers and fishermen have not been able to escape from poverty. Therefore, downstream steps are needed for the processing of fishery and agricultural commodities, so that abundant agricultural and fishery products can be processed first into semi-finished products and finished products. Downstream processing industry in the future will not only be able to strengthen the agricultural and fishery industry sector, it can also have a double effect for all parties, of course, for farmers and fishermen who will increase their income, open jobs that are able to absorb labor, have a positive impact on the Aceh economy, and the growth of new business industries. Therefore, this paper provides input on strategies that must be carried out by local governments so that downstream agricultural and fishery processing industries can be carried out and develop.
