Abstract
This research investigates the effectiveness of using pop-up book media to help children with tunagrahita (intellectual disability) in overcoming language disorders. Language disorders often occur in children with tunagrahita due to their low IQ. The study aims to explore the application of pop-up book media and evaluate its effectiveness in addressing language disorders in these children. It employs a descriptive qualitative approach, specifically using psycholinguistic studies. Data for the study includes words and sentences expressed by children with tunagrahita using the pop-up book media. The data source is children with tunagrahita at an integrated state SLB (special school) in Bireuen, Indonesia, at the junior high school level. Data collection techniques involve observing, recording, and interviewing the children. Data analysis is conducted using techniques such as pairing, sorting, comparing, and differentiating. The study concludes that pop-up book media is highly effective in addressing language disorders in children with disabilities, with an effectiveness rate of 95% based on the research findings.
