Abstract

nergy availability is an essential issue for the sustainability of life in the future. Teachers, as facilitators, are expected to introduce students to renewable energy. One thing teachers can do is develop teaching materials that contain renewable energy so that they can foster energy-saving character in students. Apart from that, the development of teaching materials needs to pay attention to the skills currently required by students, one of which is creative and critical. This research is the initial part of development research. This research aims to determine the need for teaching materials containing renewable energy, developed by Creative Problem Solving steps. Through student analysis, curriculum analysis, and learning material analysis, information was obtained that it was necessary to create digital teaching materials in the form of e-modules that integrated renewable energy and were developed based on the Creative Problem Solving model to instill an energy-saving character in students.
