CAN THE COMPETENCE OF THE SCHOOL PRINCIPAL IN CARRYING OUT THE FUNCTION OF ACADEMIC SUPERVISION CREATE PROFESSIONAL TEACHERS?

Abstract
To create professional teachers, school principals are needed as leaders who are able to carry out all their competencies. The aim of this research is to create professional teachers through the academic supervision competencies of school principals. The problem faced by many school principals today is that the principal's ability to supervise academics is not yet fully capable of creating professional teachers. The research method used in this research is Quasi-Qualitative at North Aceh Elementary School. The participants used were 24 participants, consisting of 15 school principals, 2 School staff, 2 supervisors, and 3 teachers. The instrument is the researcher himself who used a tool using open interviews. Next, the data is processed using coding. The research results show that not all school principals have a complete understanding of educational supervision, so this is a fundamental problem that must be resolved. In conclusion, by understanding the concepts and theories, school principals can carry out academic supervision effectively and are able to create professional teachers
