Multi Stage Adaptive Test (MSAT) is an assessment pattern that can be used in stages as a differentiated assessment. Through this assessment pattern, a comprehensive assessment approach is obtained from a student's cognitive learning outcomes. In the 2022/2023 academic year, SMA Negeri 1 Matang Kuli made a breakthrough innovation in the end-of-school assessment. Referring to the pattern of the national minimum competency assessment (AKM), the end-of-school assessment at SMA Negeri 1 Matang Kuli is held digitally using the iSpring platform. The end-of-school assessment is intended for grade XII as the last summative exam at the high school level. Each teacher in class XII prepares questions with three levels, (1) easy, (2) medium and (3) difficult. Each level consists of 10 items based on literacy and numeracy level questions. The MSAT pattern is carried out in a way: (1) Each student gets the same level of questions, which is moderate, (2) Students automatically get a score after the stage I exam. The digital exam system publishes stage II questions on each student's ability in stage I, (3) If the student gets a high score, the questions obtained are at a difficult level in stage II. Likewise, students who get low scores will get easy questions and students who get medium scores will get medium level questions, (4) Students will get the same treatment to answer questions in stage III as a final assessment. Thus, students answer 30 questions in total in the End of School Assessment at SMA Negeri 1 Matangkuli with a final score that is measured at the student's ability level. In the 2022/2023 academic year, SMA Negeri 1 Matangkuli students are still dominantly at the low cognitive level on average.
